Had my MY19 RRS PHEV for 2 months. Was able to programme a Homelink button on the rear view mirror for the garage door without too much fuss.

Tried on three separate occasions to programme the gate opener, always whilst parked on the drive within radio range. Could not get it to work. Today I was sitting in the supermarket car park waiting for my wife and decided to go through the programme sequence. Got home pressed button and the gates opened!

Posting this just in case it helps someone else in the future.

I had the same problem with home link on MY2016.
The garage was easy to program and has worked fine for nearly 3 years but the Home Link will not accept the gate coding. I contacted LR customer support and they confirmed that most gate openers use a different type of program and cannot be put into Home Link.
Its a pity that the dealer did not mention this when i specified it as an extra !!!
