Heated Front + rear window not working

Hi all,

Having a little look at my front and rear windows, the heated rear screen doesn't work at all, I've checked the fuse in the glove compartment and it shorts on my meter.

The drivers half of my front windscreen defrosts but my passenger side does not. I have checked both buses in the engine bay and they both short out on the meter.

Now are these problems related? Does the relay in the engine bay Control all the heated screens?

Relay only does front

New windscreen required. But you could remove interior A pillar and check power on pass side.

For rear.
Rear spoiler requires removal.
2 torx and 3 plastic 8/10mm nuts

Then test thick wiring.
Black/purple?

Connector can coroud.
Or wiring break
There is a 2 pin plug behind spoiler.

Thanks Andy,

Is it possible that the relay is knackered if half of the screen is working? Or would nothing being working if the relay is gone. So if I remove the interior panel (I assume its passenger side) I can test both terminals of the windscreen.

It's just started chucking it down again so I will have to look at the rear one another time 🍻

if the relay failed, no side would work.

If you remove the interior panel. (torx T25 required I think)
you can see the flexible connections.

Be careful with them, although it its break nit doesn't really matter I guess!
