When I say I did it.....not one to get my hands dirty I had a qualified professional do it. It’s a 5 min job.

I m surprised there seems to be so much confusion over it....in the press release for the new car jlr mentioned they’d changed the parameters for full valve opening....so standard you really have to boot it to get the valves to open. Whereas in previous cars it was much more on / off.

James, can you share (either here or via pm) the professional who did this for you, as I would like to get mind done too.

Cheers

Anyone in my area with a my18 onwards SVR,,I will be more than happy to have a look at this valve & sorting it so it stays open,,I’ll only need the car for a couple of months just to keep taking it out now & again to make sure it sounds right Rolling with laughter

I'm just intrigued to learn what mod people did to the MY19 cars...many here said they disconnected the valves and this is something I did on my 458 with a remote control capristo exhaust valve controller. Works a treat as allows me to be a hooligan when I want and drive quieter when the wife is in the car!

In my old Aston Martin I pulled fuse 9 I think it was and that kept the valves open too...what did you SVR folks do!?!?

RRSman do you have a new SVR now?
Sally has done the exhaust valves so they are always open i believe but she is rarely on here now.

Its done near the exhaust exit and quite a simple thing to do i think, its just unplugged anyone with some competence should be able to do it. You can see the valve actuators underneath if you look.

I haven't as mine is plenty loud enough for me.

Thumbs Up SVR 2018 in Santorini Black.

Thanks buddy! Not yet but seriously thinking about getting one but I have heard the difference between pre MY18 cars and those before and its quite a difference. I would buy a new one so need to figure out how the mods is done hence my questions.

Some posts earlier made it sound like its more complicated then just getting under the car and plugging the valves back so wanted to be sure Smile

I've looked under my car and I can see the valves just can't get at them due to the exhaust being in the way! Does anyone know if you have to drop the exhaust down? 2018 Range Rover Sport SVR arrived but now rejected!
