The "gilets jaunes" in France are named after the yellow vests that must be carried in all vehicles in France. I can't help thinking that a similar movement over here would be called "The Travel Sweets" or "The Magic Trees".

The difference is, of course, the general apathy of the British public that would preclude this type of behaviour, so any similar protest movement very unlikely to happen.

Sadly, it appears the "movement" has been hijacked by an extremist element that want much more than a fuel tax change. 2012 SDV6 - it's missing a couple of cylinders
2008 TDV8 - it was a labour of love and is much missed

Bit like the Labour party being hijacked by the left wing, who saw an opportunity with their voting/membership setup
