2013 Range Rover Sport SDV6 HSE Stornoway Grey

Sounds like the V8S/C Autobiog is a no-brainer for you with that list of requirements DM - and have money in the bank afterwards to boot. Or you could go down the FFRR S/C route for ultimate comfort and silence, but then it will not handle as nicely as an RRS............ 2020 Pangea Green 1st Edition D240 New Defender 110 is here and loving it
2018 Melting Silver Mini Countryman PHEV - soon to be replaced
2015MY Corris Grey SDv6 HSE Dynamic, the best car I have ever owned, totally reliable only a cou0le of rattles in 3 years, now no longer in my care

DM even in normal mode if you hit the throttle these are not quiet. both of those that you mention will be quieter.

This video will give you an idea, start from 6mins 36. I fully agree with his opinion on the 18 models sound.

Good video Paul, hope you are well mate Thumbs Up

That bloke cannot drive for toffee!! How many times did he hit the limiter! It probably would of been quicker than the RS4 if he drove it to its full potential! Rolling with laughter 2018 Range Rover Sport SVR arrived but now rejected!

Hey mate;

Would you say sound wise they are almost identical?

I understand comparing a pre facelift and facelift car might not be ideal but still.

Humming over SVR vs SCV8 Autobiography, I do like the look of the SVR more, but dislike the seats, lack of RSE, massage seats, potentially firmer suspension (not sure how much firmer) and obviously the extra noise.

Don't mind having access to a really loud mode, but I'd prefer the default mode to be whisper quiet so I can make and take calls and just have silence when I want to unwind - something other RRs do quite well!

Cheers

When just cruising along yes the SVR is very refined. DM, I also live in London and if you PM me, happy to take you for a ride in mine and you can see for yourself.

LOL oh no.

I think I actually saw his car waiting for delivery outside Stratstone Mayfair lol.

If the SVR is as loud as in those videos (I did note he had dynamic mode on though) then its too loud for me.

Thanks for that both was great - will PM you as well.

Mercedes seem to have a much wider program of exhaust settings, I'm all for having an exhaust be capable of going really loud - I like to loon around sometimes too - I just want the car to be whisper quiet for the other 90% of the time when I just want peace and quiet.

I believe MY2019 is quieter than the MY2018. They also have the new particulate filter which makes them even quieter. We would need some real life experience from someone with MY2019 SVR..

Not that this will help but in Australia buying an SVR is the best way to loose 60,000 pounds in 4 years with only 20,000 miles on the clock. Amazed at the depreciation in this part of the world. M16 SVD8 ,4.4 HSE with a few extras, Sold R50 , Wife SQ5 , BMW R1200GSW.
