2006 Range Rover Sport TDV6 SE Java Black

Picked up a 06rrs cheap!

Hiya everyone

As the title says I picked up a 06 rrs that needed some love and a good clean..
Mechanically sounds but wasn’t looked after by the looks of it.. here she is..

The major issue with the car was how dirty it was 🤮 worst been roof lining, a/b/c pillars. boot loading panel and rear seat carpet had some kind off glue spill..

Had the thing 2 weeks now and I’ve been trying to sort it out.

So gonna add some pictures of my progress etc and any tips welcome!

Stripped the car back and I decided to clean and dye the lot black.

All going back in the car tomorrow morning along with painted plastics

2013 Range Rover Sport 3.0 TDV6 HSE Rimini Red

Picked up a full fat at auction once, that was WAY worse than that. It looked like it had been a farmers car and I was finding soil in nooks and crannies for months!

The body looked like he had lived in a bramble bush and both bumpers had to be replaced due to low speed damage all over them.

Time and effort brought it back to near new condition though, managed to get a used pair of bumpers in the correct colour for £100 off a guy who had switched to overfinch ones.

Was pretty happy with it in the end and am the type of person that really enjoyed bringing it back from near death!

sorry for the late reply guys. The roof lining was DYE'd black with a normal fabric dye.. ill get some more pictures with it installed on Friday afternoon. cars still in bits due to dark nights

So roof lining back in apart from a few handles etc and I've recently upgraded theback end to the 2012 autobiography, bumper with parking sensors, rear lights and spoiler with reverse camera.. Slowly coming together.

What fabric dye did you use and how did you apply it? I've just cleaned mine with carpet cleaner in a bucket and micro fiber cloths it's come up nice but I did consider the colour change route... Your looks good in the pictures

Hi I'm looking to do the same thing with my Disco 3. @perriek can I ask what glue you used. Did you dye the sunvisors as well and what did you do to the grab handles and other plastic parts, such as the seat belt exit surrounds?
