New 2018 lights on older model?

Has anyone managed to get the 2018 rear lights working correctly on the slightly older model?

Picking our MY16 autobiography Saturday, and really want to fit a set of the newer rear lights

Dan at Duckworths had them for sale a few months ago. Plug & play I think. There are two kinds, one does not work properly.
Usually the ebay one's. There was a topic on this previously. Dan's work fine

2013 Range Rover Sport SDV6 HSE Stornoway Grey

The 2019MY lights look like JLR bought them from Audi, they have linear pulsing indicators along the light rather than a flashing l.e.d 2020 Pangea Green 1st Edition D240 New Defender 110 is here and loving it
2018 Melting Silver Mini Countryman PHEV - soon to be replaced
2015MY Corris Grey SDv6 HSE Dynamic, the best car I have ever owned, totally reliable only a cou0le of rattles in 3 years, now no longer in my care
Also in my garage is a 1996 TDi300 Defender 90 County HT made into a fake CSW

If I was to change my lights I would not bother with the new MY18 units but get these instead as they look amazing IMHO

FYI, the Glohh lights are on special right now. The 50% vouchers are all gone, so only 25% and then 10% available.
