Bell Remap SDV6 2013

I'm looking at a SDV6 2013 black edition 3ltr I've had one before and fancy another. From memory it wasn't slow but low down power was awful, pulling away was really bad. So has anybody had one of these and invested in a Bell remap and if so what difference did it make in terms of power BHP, MPG etc? Thumbs Up Cheers Laurence.

Can't directly comment on BAS though they are often recommended on here along with Alive. I had Alive do my 2012 SDV6 and it was absolutely worth it, increase in torque and bhp to 300 plus transformed it. Driveability and overtakes much improved, quicker off the line and no more "roundabout roullette" for me.

Note that when I had mine done a couple of years back it could not be done via obd port so I took mine to them and they did it (ECU out job) in around 3 hours while I waited. May be different now, you may want to check with Alive or BAS on this. Alive also have a few authorised agents around the UK, so Disco Mikey from Dundee ithat posts on here is one example.

Whatever you decide stick with the specialists like Alive and Bell.

Thanks for the reply.. Thumbs Up
I’m looking at a 12 plate sport today although I wanted the black edition I cant see many differences between the two apart from the wheels and dual view screen? Same engine and gearbox! Anything I’ve missed? Have you still got yours? Cheers Laurence.

Still got mine. Love driving it. Mine is an HSE so plenty of toys: no dual screen or heated steering wheel but neither bother me and I am not a fan of the AB bodywork so no dramas.

No mpg difference noticed particularly though I got an indicated 35 mpg or so on the long average speed section of the A9. I would say I average around 22 - 23mpg town 27 - 28 motorway and fast A roads. But then while I don't always drive it like I stole it neither do I drive it like ms daisy either. All down to driving style.
