Must be one of the most useless devices fitted to a car, I could never get it to work on other cars and it seems to be as useless on my Mini too........ 2020 Pangea Green 1st Edition D240 New Defender 110 is here and loving it

Sorry, at the risk of being shot I have to stand up for LR on this one, mine works 9 out of 10 times, as it did on my last RRS. Maybe I have big feet! 2018 MY19 HSE Dynamic, Santorini, Ebony/Ivory, Sliding pano, Adaptive cruise, Black wheels. Arrived 3rd September 2018

I have mud flaps on mine and I kick my big feet just behind them and it works 80% of the time and has been useful. MY16 3.0 SDV6 Autobiography in Aleutian silver, stealth pack and toys. |

It drives me mad. The first time I genuinely needed to use it when I had my hands and arms full of a heavy box, I lost my balance and nearly fell over trying to wave by foot just behind the rear wheel trying to open the damn thing!

I think just do it slow is the best technique and as you say just behind the mud flap, well that's if you have them I do it in that area both sides always work for me
