United Kingdom 2010 Range Rover Sport 3.0 TDV6 HSE Santorini Black
1st Foray into RRS Ownership

Hi all, I'm Toby and have just purchased my first RRS.

Only had a couple of days and really enjoying ownership. I will get a couple of pictures up when it stops raining.

It is a TDV6 2010 model in black with Overfinch body kit and wheels, with low mileage. It has a reasonable spec too.

I was planning on a Porsche Cayenne, but could not find one with the spec I needed and this popped up

I know doubt will have questions I can't find answers for using the 'search' facility.

I look forward to learning more about the car.

First drive of any distance on Tuesday. I was heading down to Goodwood for a couple of days. Headed down late to avoid the traffic, the M25 was empty and the car cruised well at 75mpg. Down the A3 and off at Petersfield and cut across the back roads.

I know these back roads well and was really impressed with how the car handled. Then as I approached the final stretch the road was closed, argh... The only route to use was quite a detour, but very twisty. I caught a couple of cars only driving at 30mph. Once I had overtaken them I kept the speed up. I was extremely impressed at how stable the car was on tight twisty bends. Not what I was expecting. I then started to push with each bend and turned in well. My original 1st car choice was going to be a Cayenne because I wanted a drivers car.

This car is good enough for me when I do decide to push it. 2010 3.0 TDV6 RRS Overfinch GTS

Very nice, do like the GTS body kit but have to admit I am biased as fitted one to my A/B Laughing only minor downside is, you can't fit side steps with the O/F door mouldings if you did want to. I wish I could get 75mpg out of mine as well Rolling with laughter

Cheers

Is probably the main reason I went for it as I find the standard Sport bumpers a bit boring. I did not want the side steps, so lucky there.

I am getting 425 miles per tank so far. 2010 3.0 TDV6 RRS Overfinch GTS

Nice motor, welcome to the fold! I was after a Cayenne too, but the 245bhp model was about £5k more expensive than a similar year RRS at the time. What really smites now is the depreciation on the RRS is around 2.5 times more than a similar Cayenne over the 3 years that I've had mine! Would be interesting to know the overall running costs of RRS vs Cayenne over the time...

You might want to upgrade those daft wheels to 20" or 19", more of a case of "when" not "if" they get kerbed, dented, or buckled. Will improve the ride and reduce weight, as well as stress to the suspension components too Wink You can't see the eyes of the demon until him come callin'

Thanks for the comments.

Change the wheels? As the car is a certified Overfinch model why would that make sense.

I happen to like the rims too. 2010 3.0 TDV6 RRS Overfinch GTS
