I have been given at least 10 delivery dates despite my car being built two months ago. The latest is that the COC will be available on 28/10, a full year after ordering. Land rover is blaming a delay with the new emissions testing and registration.
Not acceptable, this should be illegal!

I ordered the P400E in Norway 17/11/2017, I have also been given several production dates. The latest news from the dealer is production in February 2019... Lets hope its final.

Heroic patience!

I’m starting to think I’ll wait for the new platform in 2020. I’ve been horrified by some of the delays and issues I’ve seen here and on FFRR forum. (I was planning a fatty P400e, not the Sport). L405 P400e Autobiography (MY2020)... Silicon Silver / Espresso
RRS TDV6 HSE Lux (MY2011)... Nara Bronze / Arabica - now gone!

United Kingdom 2013 Range Rover Sport SDV6 Autobiography Santorini Black

Hello ilard

i thought the new rrs will be arriving in 2022. Are you sure the new rrs is coming in 2020 as i am ordering one next year and would rather wait for the new one if it is in fact coming n 2020.

No, as I say, I’m going full fat for my next one.

I’m speculating we’ll see full fat RR leaks and spy shots 2019, announcements in early 2020, configurator Q2 2020 and deliveries of certified vehicles sometime before 2025! L405 P400e Autobiography (MY2020)... Silicon Silver / Espresso
RRS TDV6 HSE Lux (MY2011)... Nara Bronze / Arabica - now gone!

Those with a PHeV on order may want to read this thread on the Full Fat RR forums - does not make pleasant reading! A few owners started off well but it soon went downhill in the last 2 pages of the thread.

Exactly the reason I did not buy a PHeV as did not want to be a test mule for JLR!

Mine is still perfect after 7.000 km in two months.
The car runs fault free and goes 230 km/h at the Autobahn... Wink

Thumbs Up
Fully agree Very Happy .

What I know so far, MY18´s drivetrains are fine, either for hybrids and regular engines.

The cars with bugs got them mostly in the infotainment/screens or wiring harness.
Still odd, but similar problems to other brands with new infotainment setup.

If customers are happy, they ignore smaller bugs, if customers are unhappy, they sum up every problem as the view on the product changed to the negative side. LR isn’t really good in giving those consumers a good feedback, Service and the needed gently ear to get them satisfied. 2012 RRS HSE SDV6, BOURNVILLE 12/12-10/14

Having ordered my P400e in August, I am still waiting for the dealer to give me any sense at all of when my car may arrive. They had indicated when I ordered that it would be in December, though I've now been told that was more of an 'illustration'. I am aware of some of the WLTP type delays but had hoped that would be a relatively temporary issue for the first MY19 cars.
On Friday I got an email out of the blue to say they are still chasing Land Rover for a build date. Is this all normal?

2013 Range Rover Sport SDV6 HSE Stornoway Grey

The crazy thing is they DO have cars that they can sell easily like the P400E but have rely on an outside manufacturer to supply the hybrid plant and that manufacturer would sooner supply an important big customer like BMW with hybrid engine systems than a minnow like Jaguar Land Rover. I waited 7 months for my Mini PHEV partly because the same supplier was overwhelmed with orders for Hybrid units that go into BMW and Minis as well as Range Rovers. There is huge demand for hybrids but supply is feeble for anything not made in Asia/ Japan/ Korea. 2020 Pangea Green 1st Edition D240 New Defender 110 is here and loving it
2018 Melting Silver Mini Countryman PHEV - soon to be replaced
2015MY Corris Grey SDv6 HSE Dynamic, the best car I have ever owned, totally reliable only a cou0le of rattles in 3 years, now no longer in my care
Also in my garage is a 1996 TDi300 Defender 90 County HT made into a fake CSW

Volvo got away with just 15 combinations on the XC90 and were finished testing in May.

You are correct Ghunkin, not EVERY option, only those that are permanently fitted to the vehicle and increase the gross vehicle weight by more than 5Kg, so items like rubber mats, dog guards, tow bar mounted cycle racks etc. will not require individual certification. However, as in the last example, the tow bar WILL require the vehicle to be individually certified. Ridiculous, I know, but an EEC knee jerk reaction to VW Gate!!!

Jock

I was told each option impacting the consumption and weight. For example the top end version of the hifi vs the default may change the consumption and thus result in a different CO2 value... I'm surprised to hear Volvo had to deliver only such a limited number of combinations.

Worth seeing what ended up in the VCA database (I posted this on another topic)

From the 15 CO2 variants quoted in Volvo's XC90 brochure, there are only 10 model differences on the VCA database (Search for alternative fuel MY19 XC90)

They are differentiated by trim level and wheel size only.

https://carfueldata.vehicle-certification-...-cars.aspx

(btw - Range Rover still have nothing certified in MY19 Yawn )
