United Kingdom 2010 Range Rover Sport 3.0 TDV6 HSE Santorini Black

To add to this, I filled up for the 2nd time since owing the vehicle a month today.

It took 77 litres, however the range left was 9 miles and the tank covered 450 miles of half motorway and half standard roads and city driving. Average mpg was 26.9 calculated and not the trip reading.

How brave do I need to get to have 2 or less litres left so when I fill up the 'distance until empty' is more accurate. When I filled it up it stated 423 miles for the range. This would be on 77 litres rather than 84. 2010 3.0 TDV6 RRS Overfinch GTS

I think the petrols have a different tank capacity

The handbook for my 2008 TDV8 says Petrol = 88 litres (19.3 gals) and Diesel 84 litres (18.4 gals)

It might be worth a reminder ( as its on the same page in the handbook) that you should not be using fuel with more that 10% ethanol in in it - "Do not use E85 fuels" It also mentions that it will take up to 5% blend of bio-diesel (EN590).
A bit Off Topic I know but I have seen some rumblings in the press about the increased use of fossil fuel substitutes Robin

England 2012 Range Rover Sport Supercharged Autobiography Fuji White

There was a post about the increase in bio content. An interesting read....and quite scary really. I’ve only just bought all new ethanol resistant fuel lines for my 1942 Jeep and now I’m wondering if they will be up to the job. 2019 5.0 SC SVA (Current)
