i don't understand why LR can't offer the features Glohh do. I mean all the latest cars have a welcome light display now.

Apple Car Play and the Android equivalent will never come to any JLR vehicle in the near future - JLR spent so much developing the awful InControl Touch and its successors that the bean counters won’t let them fit either until the costs are recouped from InControl........ they don’t have to pay any licence fees to have ICT but they would have to pay Apple a lot to use Car Play, i’ve Just had an email from Fuelly saying that Google earth has increased by two fold the cost to link their app to google earth so it will become a paid for option. I have CarPlay in my Countryman, as I make a point if not driving around with my phone on it is a useless feature. 2020 Pangea Green 1st Edition D240 New Defender 110 is here and loving it

Although JLR didn’t develop InControl, Bosch did, and is used by others so they probably have to pay a licence fee for it anyway. |
