What are peoples thoughts on the Petrol V6SC RRS?

As above especially from people who have owned an RRS with this engine and hopefully can compare it with the big petrol and also the diesel alternatives.

TIA Richard

Australia 2010 Range Rover Sport TDV8 HSE Santorini Black

One of Landrovers worst mistakes. They dropped the naturally aspirated 5l V8 in both the Discovery 4 and the RRS for that non descript supercharged V6 which nobody wants.

Don't go there, the resale value will be non existant.

The V6 Diesel is a far better engine. The petrol engine you have to rev the Boll***s off it and then get terrible fuel consumption as an upside. Apart from the V8 engines I would only consider the V6 Diesel. 2010 RR 5.0 Autobiography

I have the 3.0V6SC. It has a DMS remap. It feels really responsive. The supercharger kicks in really hard after 1500 rpm. I get 21mpg combined. Its all heavy footed driving and mostly around town. Even on a long run doing average 160kph i get similar mpg. My Brother in laws has 3.0SDV6. He gets around 31mpg. Its a fairly new car. might get better when the engine breaks in.

3.0V6SC car has no torque comparing to 3.0SDV6. 3.0V6SC always changing down gears when you put the foot down where as the 3.0SDV6 is able to stay in gear.

Both are running 22" wheels. The steering on the 3.0V6SC feels lighter with Continental tyres whereas the 3.0SDV6 with Pirelli tyres feels heavier. Not sure if it is due to the tyres or the engines.

It was Demo car at the dealers and it has Head Up Display, which sold me the car.
