Done that, also get a choice of batteries - C17, C19 and C20! Which one is preferred? |

I used a Varta G14 AGM Stop Start battery. Came from Tanya Batteries delivered next day. The 020 will not fit it's to long 393mm as opposed to 353mm, unless battery box and wiring is modified slightly. 017 and 019 are same dimensions so both will fit, not sure of the rating of each, though imagine 019 is slightly higher Ah and CCA and possibly terminal height lower on 017 depending on manufacturer.

Personally I would go for the highest rated one I could get in.

No, disconnect Negative first and reconnect last, nothing else to worry about but bare in mind the battery is quite heavy and relatively tight fit, move leads well out of way first.

As your RRS is a 2011 model it may have a battery monitoring system - A lot of markets had a BMS from 2010 onwards. I was under the impression that this needs to be reset when changing the type of battery or putting in a battery of different capacity and if you don't the charging system starts doing funny stuff. |

Never reset mine and never made a blind bit of difference, if you do reset it would suggest you make sure battery is fully charged first.

The battery in my 2010 TDV8 is a AGM 95Ah unit with 850CCA. |

Not quite sure that would work on a sport as the battery is in a different position to the fullfat. The position of your wooden plank is directly over the battery on a sport as it is.
