England 2013 Range Rover Sport SDV6 Autobiography Firenze Red
Extended Veneers

Hi Guys.

My Sport, well as you know haven't got it home yet, does not have the extended Veneers on the doors which with this option then gives you a lovely little storage space on each of the front doors. So far I have only noticed this option only in the piano black gloss veneer and wood gloss veneer.

My trim has the Autobiography diamond cut effect on the centre console, air vents etc. But can you get the extended Veneers on the doors in the Autobiography diamond cut effect ?? I don't think it's possible ! I just like that little storage pocket on the front doors you see.

Thanks.

Tom.

Thanks for your reply RRSman.

Yea I thought it was only this option but I have also seen it in the wood trim effect too.

Must just be these two options then.

I'm not too keen on the gloss black and gloss wood effects as it scratches far too easy ! Nice but hard to keep lovely !!

Shame land rover doesn't do the extended inlays with the Autobiography diamond turned finish that would look lovely Mr. Green wonder if it could be done ! Maybe a wrapped diamond turned finish could be done over the black gloss or wood gloss ?

I just like that little pocket you get Rolling Eyes

I've looked at buying the door cards but there expensive and for me to get Ebony and lunar grey is hard to find !! Maybe a mod could be done to fit that little storage compartment ? Its behind there but just not used !

Cheers.

Tom .

There's also a carbon option if you are feeling flush!

I have gone for the wood think it works well with the Ebony / Ivory interior.

I have a strong hatred for piano black, it looks amazing until scratches and finger prints ruin it Sad

Yea the black does finger print easy a bit like the new double screen system in the face lift sport !!

Hmmm never seem the carbon fibre trim in real life but seen the pictures it looks nice too.

I reckon the wood trim doesn't show the scratches as much as the piano black.

I must say there are not many sports with the extended inlays that I've seen.

Don't mind the screens so much as they are made to be touched, but imagine I will spend an awful lot of time polishing them once I finally pick mine up!!

I would blame the dealers for this one, it may be it's not to many peoples preference but I think it's more likely that people ask the question "What does that extra £425 get me" and the response is "Some wood on the doors" for me the door pockets were a bit must, there isn't much storage in the RRS compared to say a discovery or discovery sport which I had previously, door pockets should be perfect for my sunglasses.

Yea your not wrong its a expensive option for these inlays !! £425 that is expensive! I think extended inlays should be standard on Autobiography.

It could go to something much more rewarding.

Tom.
