As you know I recently bought a Hev but we had a few issues on the way home and i didn't trust her to get us home, so recovery it was . Still I love it and things will get sorted I'm certain.

Just tried looking at the pictures on my Windows tablet / computer and Android phone seems to work ok !

What is it displaying for you ? What symbol or icon ?

Shame they spend so much effort on doing the whole "reveal under the cloth" routine but don't bother to make sure the vehicle is actually in a working condition.  2012 SDV6 - it's missing a couple of cylinders

I think the problem is alot of dealers still know nothing about hybrid's it's up to us owners to try getting it sorted to a degree which is wrong these dealers really need more product training !!

If dealers don't understand the hybrid then that is LR's fault. They should make sure all of their dealerships are fully capable of dealing with their products.

Having said that, LR dealerships are generally hopeless anyway so it's no surprise that your hybrid is beyond them. 2012 SDV6 - it's missing a couple of cylinders

Yes I agree land rover should make sure all the technicians have the correct training for Hybrid's, especially as mine has just came out of the workshop and been fully approved but obviously not the full EV mode never worked !!

And yes most land rover dealers are rubbish anyway all flash / posh etc but behind the scenes they nothing about the new generation land rovers !! The worst are the sales men and hand over people they don't know anything it's pretty worrying really

Hopefully things will improve as hybrid's are becoming more and more popular

The problem with the hybrids is that the indie LR specialists are probably still not comfortable with them. Once they are, the hybrid will be worth having - not before. I won't use a LR dealership to work on my SDV6 unless there is absolutely no other option available - with the hybrids, you're probably stuck with LR's network for a year or two yet. 2012 SDV6 - it's missing a couple of cylinders

Yep your correct their knowledge is very small regarding hybrids ! If I had the option of servicing it my self I would but as she is still stuck in the warranty period I have no choice

I hope in the next few years of having her I will try to learn to do alot of servicing on the hybrid system I'm a Mechanical / Electrical engineer and looking forward to learning about this hybrid

Let's hope in the years to come we have other land rover hybrid specialists crop up not just Landover to turn too
