Thanks again all but I am still confused.
If you add 20" wheels and adaptive heads to the TDV6 then the TDV8 is over £1000 closer to the TDV6 so making it even more atractive.
Oh Dear I am really not sure as I want delivery as soon as possible but want to make the right choice. Sheep

John,

to me it sounds like you want the TDV8 but without the wait - if this is correct, then basically I dont think there's much we can do to help Smile

Just had a chat to my dealer who offered a Feb Delivery on a TDV8 but I am begining to feel the discussions I have heard re the lower noise from the TDV8 engine is comparing it to the FFRR BMW engine.
I think I am going to stick with the TDV6 as the full day test drive I had didnt give me any concerns about power or even noise.

John

I have TDV6 and absolutely love it !! Very Happy Very Happy Very Happy

However, my concern is residual value.

If the TDV8 is as good as they say it is then the value and desirability of my baby will diminish. Big Cry

I see your dilemma. I maybe be converted to TDV8 quicker than I wanted to be.

Time will tell, of course - but I don't think it's the death knell for the TDV6 that people say it is... it's a different price bracket for one, so there'll stillbe plenty of people willing to buy into the cheaper TDV6 and given they'll all be MY07 models by then you get better value too.

Jon... quickly call your dealer to order your TDV6 before anyone else puts you off! Very Happy

Well it is cheaper than the TDV8! Rolling Eyes

We shall see... I think there'll still be a place for it. Maybe not indefinitely, as LR will want to get the 2.7 engine out of production at some point in the future, but I think it'll be safe for the time being Very Happy
