Landrover Remote app

Hi all

Does anyone know why the app might show the car is locked but the alarm is not set in yellow?

It's just come out of the dealership after a repair and I noticed whilst it was at the dealership it was locked and alarm set. However that's the first time I've saw the alarm set. Now I have it back and when it's locked its back to saying alarm not set.
Is there something I'm doing wrong??

Ste

Just with the key fob, double beep and mirrors fold. For some reason I havent got the hang of the keyless entry yet, it doesn't always lock when i touch the handle.

Sounds fine, mine sometimes says "boot unlocked open" but if I wait or refresh the page then it says locked and alarmed.

It can be very slow to update sometimes, certainly slow at this very moment.

Yeah I guess that could be the problem. I know when the car was left at my in-laws for a couple of days I was in a state because it said window open more or less the whole time.

The app is up to date. Perhaps because it's used often, by the time it gets to update the alarm the car has been used again.

On closer inspection it would just seem like the app is a load of rubbish........

Last update was 10.25am, pull down to refresh and it says the same. Wonder how long the car pings its status and location.

Sadly I’ve found the app to be unreliable at times with regards to the locked and alarmed status, and as above has said it’s neither locked nor alarmed when it is.

Worth considering always using the double touch on the handle to lock and not the fob as the latter can be snooped and blocked far more easily.

I have always found the app to do this when checking it from abroad! Crazy but it always seems to say window open unalarmed Laughing Kinda defeats the object of checking if it's going to make one paranoid.

Off to Florida tomorrow so will check if this one behaves....

2013 Range Rover Sport SDV6 HSE Stornoway Grey

My 2p worth as one who works literally over seas and is abroad 6 months of the year.........

I found when I had the InControl system in my 2015 RRS and 2014 Evoque that the quality of the mobile phone signal where you park the car is hugely important for monitoring it. Even on my drive at home parking the car facing the garage door or tailgate to the garage door made a difference to whether the antenna was shadowed by my house or not and the same is now happening with my Mini Countryman which has a similar monitoring system but the car is shorter than the RRS and has to be parked closer to the garage as the charging cable isn’t long enough to park further down the drive.
I also found using multi-storey car parks at airports shadowed the signal but using the open air carparks was not a problem.
With the BMW system in Countryman the app took 6 days to refresh to show it was no longer plugged into the wall socket after I requested a family member to unplug it (it can remain on charge for 90 days at a time but we want to see how long it will go before it discharges the HV battery to a low state. Before it needs to go back on charge again) I can now see it is unplugged but it still hasn’t refreshed the %age charge or electric range after a week.
I have also found with both the JLR system and the BMW system that if I tried to operate some of the features like park heat or in the Mini changing the timer for when it charges that it will unlock the car sometimes while you aren’t there so do be careful what you try to do when you aren’t near to the car! 2020 Pangea Green 1st Edition D240 New Defender 110 is here and loving it

I find the same issue with the app not updating when I open it and drag the screen down, however if I close the app and reopen it refreshes the majority of the time
