Has anyone any tips for this actually working?

I seem to spend my time kicking the back corner of the car, covering my leg or trousers in muck while passers by think I've turned into a balder version of Basil Fawlty attacking my own car, then resorting to actually putting down what I'm carrying and using the key fob.

Joking aside if you kick under the bumper with your shin covering the rear par sensors closest to the back wheels it works everytime  2018 Range Rover Sport SVR arrived but now rejected!
