Update Sat Nav

Hi, i am new to the site having bought my RRS a few months ago.I want to update the Sat nav as mine is woefully out of date.Can you tell me where the drive is for it please? There is nothing in the manual.

What model year is your RRS? For earlier ones the DVD drive is under the passenger seat and a little awkward to get to but doable.

Later model vehicles are fitted with a HDD-based system.

Just realised mine is still showing as my previous RRS but also you can't change it in the Profile options beyond 2013 anyway Sad

If it is under the seat then the way I've found easier to switch DVD is to move seat up and forward as far as it'll go then reach your hand around to the front, slide the lock tab then press eject.

Hazel, I have a 2009 facelift and the only way of updating the Satnav is by going to a Range rover dealer so that you can plug it into their computer and they will update it for you. There is NO Cd for this facelift.

Unfortunately for our model the latest update that they can do is 2014/15 and you have to leave the car for the day and I was quoted £260. Big Cry Big Cry

Far cheaper and easier to get a good quality Tom Tom which will update automatically and leave change in your pocket. Thumbs Up

Let me know if you found anything different but I contacted three dealers and got the one reply...the other couldn't even be arsed...what a shock. Never argue with stupid people, they will drag you down to their level and then beat you with experience.

Not sure that is a sat nav unit what does your dash look like take a photo and show us as mine is a 2005 and looks nothing like that Thumbs Up
