Bizarre reason Could it be that they are busy and just want to fob you off so that they can take on more lucrative jobs? I read somewhere they get paid less by LR/warranty companies for the same service/repair work than they would charge a paying customer.

I booked my service more than 2 months in advance. I don’t even know if I will have the car by the service date! Current: Volvo XC90 T8 Inscription Pro PHEV with some optionals on top

When I called inchcape York they were more than helpful,,I had it booked in for Saturday morning then called back later today & asked if they could do it Friday afternoon & that wasn’t a problem either so it’s now booked in for 13.30 Friday.

don't let York wash your car Andy we did not buy a car from them because there "cleaning contractors" could not prep a car to safe their live

and FK is right about the ££ they get paid for labour from L/R ISTR less than £90 for a 3 hour service and parts are discounted as well

but don't forget they made a bit out of selling the service pack in the first place so swings and roundabouts comes to mind
