Parking sensor fault ‘06 supercharged

Hi guys,

My sensors seem to have stopped working. On ignition there is a constant tone beep for around 3 seconds but while driving, although the light is illuminated, they’re not working.
When I turn the ignition off, the light flashes. There are no warning messages and no other warning lights. Any ideas? Noisy black one

Mine are the opposite, as soon as I select reverse they go mental so I just turn them off now. Steve.

Either a faulty sensor or a chaffing wire usually Thumbs Up

Sensors are between £10 and £30 on the bay and if the bumper is off takes about an hour-2 hours to get off so not really hard to be honest Thumbs Up

Did you find a fix for this? Mine have decided to start doing this. Put in reverse just a long tone that lasts forever. Then when you change to drive they just beep and go crazy even when theres nothing around

I had two sensors that were not working, one on the front one on the back. I found which ones by putting my ear right up to each sensor in turn and listening for a ticking which tells you that it’s working. Managed to replace both sensors of eBay and without totally removing bumpers just loosening them and getting my hand in!

Awesome thanks, i'll try that. Do you just need to engine on for it? Or does it need to be in reverse?

No need for engine as it’s quieter. Ignition on and in reverse, I think I had to put a brick under the wheels and take the handbrake off.
