Alarm going off when dead locking ?

When pressing the lock button on the remote or door handle twice to deadlock the car the alarm sounds instantly but on a single press the doors lock fine.
I did have a new passenger front window fitted last week and was thinking maybe something wasn't put back correctly?

Would I see and codes for this fault if I plug in a diagnostic tool ?

Or has anyone else had this issue and have an idea where to start looking ? 2017 SVR. SVO Scafell grey Ebony interior

Not had this. The deadlocking does switch on additional alarm sensors, so it makes me think a sensor is damaged. Quite why a window replacement would trigger this I am not sure, unless there is a sensor in the door itself. Hopefully someone more technical can give their views. I hope you can resolve... I ALWAYS deadlock mine and that proved most useful one night when some scally decided to prise open the sunroof and explore inside... the alarm when crazy and they had to exit the way they came in. Without deadlocking it is my belief they could have simply opened a door and the alarm would have disarmed leaving them free to open the tailgate, steal the lights, yadee yadee yadee. L405 P400e Autobiography (MY2020)... I thought the double click/deadlock, deactivated interior sensors? When I had my alarm issue I was told to double click to deactivate interior alarms. Steve.

I think it’s the other way round - one click activates the door alarm but not the internal sensors (eg so that you can leave a dog in the car). Two clicks will also activate the deadlocks and internal alarm sensors.

For mine, one click of the key fob "superlocks" it and activates the perimetric alarm, interior space protection and tilt sensor.
Pressing it twice within 3 seconds locks all doors and perimetric alarm but NOT interior protection. 2016 RRS SVR Estoril Blue

If we all point our RR's in the same direction and accelerate at the same time can we turn back time?

On a face-lift RRS1 press lock button once to Single Lock, twice to Double Lock, on a pre-facelift RRS1 for some reason it is the opposite, single press activates Super Locking. As Double Locking prevents doors from being opened from inside the vehicle, the door panel would need to be removed and electrical multi-plug dis-connected to remove/replace window glass is it possible while putting everything back together the did something to the actual lock connection or dislodged a wire. Only a suggestion or thought.

Cheers
Col

Here’s the topix page on single/double locking for 2012MY. Probably different for other model years but this is how it was on our 2012 L320.
