Fault at time of sale .....dealer won’t have any wiggle room....what’s a new compressor cost ?!
Probably more than his profit in the car judging on the sale price.

I had one fitted before picking mine up and it was around £600 fitted. Steve.

In the nicest possible way this is probably a lesson to you.

You went from getting advice to finding the ‘right’ car in precisely 5 mins flat and wouldn’t hear of any advice to the contrary.

And barely a week after that you want to reject the car because it’s got issues.

Perhaps slow everything down, and learn abit more about the model and get some experience in what to look for and don’t buy unseen moving forward.

Best of luck 2019 Svr and 2019 R35 GTR

Wow not sure what you want from this forum everyone has tried to give you a little bit of advice/help but I think the best thing for you is to hand it back and find another car as I don’t think these are for you at the present time Whistle

Sometimes a rear caliper being stuck on (on opposite corner) can sound/create this.

Touch the rear wheels after a drive, and see if one is hot.

Callipers are from £40 on ebay. Very common issue on RRS

I had this in mine. It sounded like something was touching in the front wheel arch when Corning on roundabout but it was the opposite rear corner at fault!

I owned a First Edition 4.2 SC for 7 years and never found it to be floaty so that's not the natural state of things.

A compressor is around £600 but of course you can get it a lot cheaper off specialist suppliers (LR Parts for example) as it's just a Hitachi unit rebadged but if the dealer is resolving the issue that's a moot point.

Hope it gets sorted.
