If you like the car and want to keep it, get an engine from LandRover for ~£5000 + fitting.

Be carefull with recon engines i thought that the parts were very hard if not impossible to source to recon an engine |

New engine, enjoy the vehicle. Cost to change will be more than cost to repair so why change? 2012 SDV6 - it's missing a couple of cylinders

If it helps, I know a place that did my disco 3 for €5500 including everything. They even came to my house to collect the car.

Sorry Disco_Mekey, but I don't think that we should accept that the RRS with a dead engine is almost worthless.
