2010 Range Rover Sport 3.0 TDV6 SE Bali Blue
Got rid of the heap

I always wanted to own a RRS and 8 months ago I purchased a 2010 RRS 3.0. I can now report after getting shot this is the worst car I have ever owned. I knew they could be pricey to maintain but within 2 months it suffered a snapped crank so with maintenance on top this things cost over 9k to keep on the road.
The doom and gloom people portray about these cars is very much true. I’ve owned a discovery 2 which I abused off roading and was more reliable.

It was bought with warranty, but it didn’t cover the full amount and the dealer was a waste of space

Whilst I sympathise with your problem, I could trump you with equally horrifying, and expensive, tales of those "more reliable" car brands. But them you'd probably not believe me.

The only problem with buying cars like this is,,,,you need a hole in the kitchen floor & every time you walk past it throw a handful of £20 notes in it.a friend of mine bought a 2008 tdv8 cheap,,or should I say she thought it was cheap at 12k,,when she sold it about 6 month later after couple of turbos & other things that went wrong with it it stood her at just over 20k.if my budget for a car was only about 10-15k I’d sooner have a focus or something like that which is about 2 years old,,definitely not a RR or RRS.
