There is one large black torx bolt either side. (I think you just open the glass hatch to see them.
Maybe the threaded clip rusted away on the spoiler

There are also some plastic nuts 3? when the tailgate is open

The problem is where the painted part meets the black part on outside corner in the picture

Better take it off to find out why.

I don't recall any clips.

Am I right in thinking if I needed to replace the camera or brake light you don’t separate the painted part from the black part
If not I might use some strong adhesive to bond the parts together without removing the spoiler

No you do not need to split the spoiler to change the camera or brake light, but obviously you do need to remove it from the vehicle to change either.

Cheers

Just removed the spoiler and found the adhesive that holds the black part to the painted parts had come loose so I have used a strong adhesive to bond them back together
Thanks for the reply’s

Thanks Cosmo15555, my 2010 is the same with both half’s seeming to part - will apply the adhesive when it stops raining outside!

Well the adhesive I used was not strong enough! driving along at 50mph loud bang at the back as the spoiler detached and blew off leaving (thankfully) the camera dangling on the rear windscreen on its cable. Phoned Duckworth LR at Market Rasen who said pop down for a look. They inspected it, ordered a new spoiler under warranty (This is a 2010 RRS!) Spoiler currently being painted should get it fixed this week with new adhesive as per the recent recall - all FOC Very Happy 2010 3.0 TDV6 HSE Luxury - Santorini Black - First RRS and lovin’ it

As mentioned, this problem has been the subject of a recall for some time now.
