ACC sensor question

Hi guys

Im having a rep AB front bumper fitted to my RRS 2007
is the front acc sensor cover part of sensor & need refitting to new bumper
or can i leave it off & it will still work ?

Why does the sensor front need removing ? On an upgrade the sensor is moved & placed directly behind the bumper ( it works through plastic ) there is a kit that fits this to the existing front components. 16MY Estoril Blue SVR.............

What i meant was the plastic cover which has the ACC logo is that part of the sensor
or just a cover will it need refitting to new bumper for it to work or can i leave the cover off

They get jammed up with dirt/snow etc with it on so would think it would be worse without it and all the rain will hit it so i would say refit it if you want it to work correctly Thumbs Up

Anyone know how to turn off the A part? Not safe to use in narrow roadworks lanes.

Yes that's the correct button.

I am on look out for a replacement prefacelift java black front bumper for my 2005 , (minor cosmetic damage inside bumper mouth & not suitable for smart repair).

Can someone confirm that if I source a secondhand pefacelift bumper witout ACC that I simply remove my existing ACC sensor wirh housing and refit it into a newly sourced used bumper that (if sourced bumper absent of ACC) ?

I’m selling a preface front bumper with acc cover in java black
If your still after one, no damage only minor age related blemishes
With lower diffuser fog surrounds only

Didn`t know the adaptive bit could be disabled. Why would you use cruise on narrow lanes though? Steve.

I use cruise on narrow roadworks lanes where there is a camera controlled average speed limit (say 50mph or 40mph) and not much traffic. I’m guessing that adaptive cruise may pick up proximity to bollards etc in those circumstances (don’t have it on my car).
