sorry to hijack your thread but i need to get a new key, what is the general way of doing it?

You can buy refurb kits off eBay, effectively giving you a new key casing. Just transfer over your old chip/ internals. Prob worth ringing a local locksmith for coding, not sure if it’s LR only... Range Rover Sport HSE DYnamic SDV6 Velocity blue 2020 MY

The battery is soldered onto the board. New alternator.

Talking of keys.. The wife dropped the key down the toilet this morning. Now it wont work.. Luckily we have a spare but is it repairable? |

You might have to dig the manual out. I think on the rrs1 you pop off the small part of the door handle, but don’t prise it off till you’ve read the manual (cos I’m not sure!) Front passenger door to the rear of the handle if it’s a early one but you will need to have wd40 or similar as most are stuck fast |

Forgot I got the key back the other day. All fixed, although its not an original Landrover case but on first glance you would never know. |
