Centre console switch

Just a quickie- on the L320 supercharged there is a button to the right of the hazard button with a car in a triangle. It has a red light on it when pressed. What does it do? I can't find any reference in the owners manual.

Is it not the switch to switch the forward alert control on and off ?. Long time ago since had pre-facelift car so could be wrong.

Yep, Forward Alert warning switch. A useful feature that bleeps and throws a warning up on the dash moments before you smash into something solid... ‘brace for impact’ if you will

I leave it switched off, it’s annoying. That said, the adaptive cruise control on its own is great, works like a charm

I owe my life to forward alert ........... was driving along at walking pace in dense fog and the light started flashing, about 20ft in front of me appeared out of the fog a totally unlighted trailer behind a tractor........ but then in winter it was a pita when it was snowy and the cruise would fail because”detector blocked” and there was no fall back cruise to use. 2020 Pangea Green 1st Edition D240 New Defender 110 is here and loving it
