Buying 29k miles 2015 SDV6 306hp - things to check?

I am buying a 2015 RRS Autobiography with 29k mikes from Rybrook in Conwy. What things would you recommend that I check please? Would Brakes and Tyres likely changing? Any other known issues?

If you are interested the video is below - it's quite a long one though. Smile

Thank you!

Congrats - looks a great car. I put a deposit on one 2 weeks ago...so have been asking similar questions from this excellent forum. On the tyres, this was my main concern on my car - per your video, 4mm is the LR recommendation but my dealer was good - I was borderline but they still changed all 4 tyres.

Brakes will be checked as part of the service - request all print outs - historic services and also the one they will perform - if its the 3rd service, will be a major one - they will indicate brake pad / discs thickness / condition.

If you also register and enter the car's VIN on the TOPIX site, you can see the car spec, service history, any outstanding recalls, etc

I created a mini-check list for my car - if you private message me, I can send you a copy if helpful.

Hi - yes, they will clearly show on the service printout and also share condition of brakes so you will know roughly when they need changing.

If it is an approved used Land Rover then according What Car? Magazine the JLR Approved Used scheme is the best............ Numero Uno. Check if the car has the 5vyear service agreement as it is transferable to next owner, otherwise make sure all the toys work and then go out and enjoy it and get the dealer to give you a Full Day (they usually give half day) voucher for a Land Rover Experience day so you can learn what all the 4WD stuff does in somebody else’s car. You will enjoy that more than anything else. 2020 Pangea Green 1st Edition D240 New Defender 110 is here and loving it

Thanks for the advice Tim - I will ask for that.

What the maximum wear on the brakes that is acceptable?

No idea, I have been changing cars every 3 years and about 23000 miles, never get to that stage of looking at brake thickness or tyre wear! 2020 Pangea Green 1st Edition D240 New Defender 110 is here and loving it
