As I had to remove the front bumper to replace the intercooler thought I'd replace the faulty sensor, had them switched of as they beeped every time I started the car |

I had a similar issue after replacing my ac condenser, after removing the bumper. It turned out to be the cable going into the back of the PDC loom connector. I had put strain on the connector and the wire had slightly pulled out of the back of the connector (only by approx 2mm). I just applied pressure and forced the wire back into the connector. I never had another issue with it, i sold it 14month later without an issue. MY12 RRS HSE

Seems like your test results are telling you the fault - that the earth side of the circuit is foobarred. I wonder if its possible to temporarily connect a wire between the earth side of the sensor loom and a suitable alternative earth just to prove that it is the earth wire and then you can start to search for, and narrow down, where the break actually is. Looking at the fault it's saying circuit short to ground- That means it will be a chafed wire somewhere rubbing against the body All in my opinion of course but thats wehere I would be looking -

Or a + and - wire that have both chafed on possibly a non earthed component such as a sharp edge of the plastic bumper. 2019 5.0 SC SVA (Current)

.....until the damage works it's way through the loom to cause more, possibly serious damage Just a thought. 13MY Range Rover Sport Autobiography SDV6 - mine 14MY Range Rover Evoque Dynamic SD4 Black Pack - wife's 99MY Defender 90 TD5, Soft Top Conversion - my toy, and bairns favourite |

i agree could be the wires shorted to gether or just the + against ground - I wouldnt be put off fixing it , If you have a cheap multimeter it will help you trace the fault. Most likely you will find the fault in a obvious place like tight corner or maybe where the bumper has been fixed before . The PDC loom must plug into the car somewhere close to the bumper , Unplug it from the car and work forwards - I am almost certain the fault will be forward of the connector towards the bumper. Good Luck |

True It's just that I don't have a problem with mechanical repairs but electronics are a dark art to me, anyway according to the passenger fuse layout fuse No 36 protects the Park Distance Control and Tyre Pressure Monitoring system so I can pull that and isolate that circuit as I don't have TPM. If it ain't broken down it soon will Pulling my Vanmaster tin tent with my 2005 RED RRS HSE TDV6 1973 Land Rover Series 3 110 safari Gone but not forgotten 1990 Discovery 200Tdi Gone thank god 1996 Discovery 300Tdi sadly missed 2003 Discovery TD5 Gone to LR heaven 2004 Discovery TD5 Gone to Aberdeen hope it likes it there 2005 RRS HSE Rimini Red (my Disco 3 in a posh frock) sadly selling Think I see a pattern here |
