Did you buy the car privately or from a dealer (any dealer not just a JLR franchise)? You have consumer rights for this to be repaired by the seller if you bought from a car dealer but time is of the essence as you have, iirc 30 days from taking the car. You are not far from our resident Scottish Land Rover specialist, member Disco Mickey who operates as an independent LR specialist in Dundee 2020 Pangea Green 1st Edition D240 New Defender 110 is here and loving it

The dealer is more than happy to fix any problems with the car as i have 1 years warranty on it, I have to wait until it does the limp mode thing again so they have a fault code to work from.

Limp mode has struck again, Car has been faultless for the past week but went into limp mode again this morning, The car was also listing to the nearside and was telling me it was locked in "extended " mode. The suspension would drop down to access mode but then came straight back up to extended mode, After a few attempts it did finally go to normal ride height and the fault warning cleared from the dash cluster.

You'd best be hoping it isn't anything that requires replacing a turbo as that is a body off pain in the arse. Had to repace both mine recently (SDV6) and for that you are looking at north of £3.5k 😱 |

I have had the ECU read again this evening and i have a suspension fault and a turbo actuator issue, Cleared the codes and the car is driving fine, I have notified the dealer i bought from and they are more than happy to repair the motor, My indie mechanic has emailed the diagnostic report to the dealer so they can get parts ordered asap, It looks like the car will be returned to the dealer over the weekend and is fixed........................For the time being. |
