A friend of mine has ordered a vehicle with a contrast black roof but has been told that the factory are having issues and at the moment black roof isn't an option on the vogue or sport. I have the same problem at the moment, so my dealer have come back and told me that when the car arrives they are going to spray the roof black themselves. Not the best of scenarios, but I really want the black contrast roof. 2010 RR 5.0 Autobiography

Really? This black roof problem has been going on since the beginning of the year, ffs LR sort yourselves out.  SVR 2018 in Santorini Black.

Looking at the state of some of the dealership paint jobs I wouldn’t be trusting them to paint a roof on a brand new car! Pan roofs to be removed, masking up, overspray, dust everywhere from rubbing it down!

The other option would be to get it wrapped gloss black as you only need the 2 sides,rear spoiler & a bit at the front of the roof.That is if you have the pan roof.

I have to agree with Andy, when the dealer resprayed my roof, it was overspray everywhere, badly masked off areas and lots and lots of claybar time removing it

all because someone damaged the roof prior to me collecting

What on Earth is wrong with Land Rover? They used to offer the contrast roofs in a variety of colours. Since the introduction of the MY18 vehicle this was reduced to one colour (black) and they can’t even get that right! How hard can it be? This isn’t anything new... they’ve been doing it for years!

I had my roof wrapped, most would not notice the difference.
