iPod

Yet another post tring to get answers for my further listening pleasure.

I have heard that there is a system out there that links up with the stereo through the rear A/V socket so that an ipod can be hidden and a 3rd party screen can be mounted on the dash to scroll the ipod's menu using a scroll wheel. Has anyone seen this or am I wishing? 2005 Zambezi TDV6 - Gone but not forgotten

VA, NAV-TV were meant to be producing an iPod hookup soon - not sure on the status of that. And I'd only want to mount something on the front dash if it was going to be non-damaging....

Come over to the dark side and look here for a discussion about Harman Kardon's Play+Drive system - there's pics of one plumbed into a D3.

Agreed I was thinking along the lines of double sided sticky pads of something that fits into a cup holder. 2005 Zambezi TDV6 - Gone but not forgotten

This looks like what I'm after. Anyone know where I can get one? I've already tried e-bay but with no luck. Is this easy to fix or does it require someone with a brain?[/quote] 2005 Zambezi TDV6 - Gone but not forgotten

Currently from the U.S. only, but Guy had heard of December release in UK.
Think it just needs to plug into ipod, 12V socket and aux input on your vehicle, just like a regular ipod adaptor. Not rocket science. Wink

Bear in mind the FM transmitters are illegal in the UK, so you'd have to undergo the wired installation (if you wanted to remain legal, that is). Doesn't look too painful though, does it?
