Using a PS4 in car

Hi Folks.
I have a 57 plate RRS with rear screens and aux hook ups all factory installed, controls in doors etc.
I was hoping to get my boys PS4 working with this set up for long journeys. He has special needs and this would be a great thing for his low attention span.
Has anyone done this and can you supply any pics or technical details as to how it would all work.. correctly rated inverters, getting the unit games consul connected through HDMI to the digital / analogue screens (not sure which). Pro's and con's etc.

Also.. has anyone mounted the consul in where it can be reached and if so how??

Any advice would be much appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Some pics of what i have:

Not sure about PS4 as it requires a stable power supply done it with a PS3 and PS2 they were ok you would need a hdmi to AV connector which would be the easiest one to use i assume you have the AV inputs under the flap you show Thumbs Up

Hi Geof.
Yes.. all under the flap. Uploaded wrong pic but can't find the one i took that's correct.
My boy does have a PS3 i could use, but the 4 is the slim version so was thinking it would be easier to mount somewhere at hand.
Where did you locate yours ?
I was thinking about a mount i could slide it into thats fixed to the plastic trim that runs along the underside of back seats so that it would in effect face upwards under the legs of middle seated person.
What size wattage inverter would you use and did you need an additional battery to run off rather than main vehicle?

Hi mine just sits under the passenger seat to be honest and I have a 2000 watt inverter which works ok plus I can run other items if I want which I ran a feed straight from the battery with an in-line on off switch also mine is not a permanent fixture so can change it with any other game station or lap top etc it under the seats as I think your saying would make it a bit harder if he wants to change discs or games Thumbs Up

I did look at that as a location but seems very cramped under their and didn't want him undoing seat belt etc to reach down. He's not great with his fingers etc due to light disability, so need to locate as easy to reach and operate as i can. Also he has a very short attention span so i'd be stopping all the time to change games if he can't get to it.

I was thinking along the lines of a 300-500 watt inverter so i might be way off on that one. I think the paly station requires 165 max to operate.

If going with under seat location.. how to you prevent it slipping about? i take it u you must strap it somehow?
