Cool.. congrats mate.

However, Stratstone still haven't put an offer on the table yet, so the deposits may go somewhere else instead.. We have one down, and another couple interested and god knows how many more waiting until the offer is laid out before committing, so we're all ears. Did get an email saying they are formulating something so just wait till tommorow, so soon as i have anything i will let you guys/gals know.

Scotland 2009 Range Rover Sport TDV8 HSE Stornoway Grey

I will be buying a new one early next year once the new car has been de-bugged, but I must admit the main thing I will be looking for is a fantastic part-exchange deal, which if they undervalue my current car, could loose me way more than 5%.

I realise its impossible to generalise about a p/x as it depends on condition, colour, mileage etc.......but, any dealer will be looking to make up their shortfall...somehow.

Possibly, I'm the only one that will be looking to exchange rather than selling my current car privately?

But be careful out there.......its hard to believe that not all car salesman are honest, but I suppose there just might be the odd less-than-honest one. You never know, there might even be one that phones you back when he says he will. Although not an experience I have ever suffered.

Great discounts

Guys,

You are discussing 5% discount, however, I am talking with a great guy in Trier, Germany. He is an old Landrover dealer who sold his company and now only sells through the web with 13,5% discount on new cars, left or right hand drive, no problem.

So if you guys want to team up buying multiple RRS TDV8 I would suggest a trip to Germany to pick them up would be a great may to safe lots of money (compared to 5% discount).

Speak with your man, if he can bring them to the UK for us guaranteeing spec, warranties etc for three years, and can invoice us through a UK company for the cars, then this could be a option. Usually making savings o Euro import vehicles, is offset by having to sell them cheaper come resale, but hey swigs ad roundabouts, and if you're financing, guess you save on the interest on the larger UK list prices anyway. Hmm maybe a valid option, but not sure how everyone would feel about that? Jay who do you deal with mate for ur cars, and what discout do you get? The benefit of going through LR dealer in UK means we get relatively early cars, and won't have to wait long. We have been indicated first deliveries around end of ov-early dec, then second wave into Jan, i know some of the guys don't want them that early anyway but usually private import companies can't guarantee time lines perfectly like that..
