Interior heating

Now that the temps have dropped am I the only owner who is disapointed with the in car heating? It takes ages to get the interior warm and even then it's not really hot! 2005 Zambezi TDV6 - Gone but not forgotten

Yep, I've found the same sort of issue over the weekend... haven't seen the relevant posts on the D3 site, but a couple of folks here have had internal thermostats replaced. I can force the car to get warm by turning the fan up and manually directing the air into the front of the car. The windscreen is heated of course, so I've not relied too heavily on the hot air from the windscreen vents to clear it.... even if you pop out to the car 5 mins before leaving and hit the prog button, the car doesn't get warm until you've been in and driving for a while.

Amazing! How ironic, I also found the same thing this morning and wondered if it was just me.

It was about -3 degrees celcius outside and I noticed even when the heater was set at 28 degress it took a good while before I felt warm enough to turn it down.

I also noticed the cool air from the top of the dash.

Has anyone else noticed how cold the top of the door trims get where you tend to rest your arm?

Did a 110 mile journey this morning and my arm was getting very cold.Brrrr Shocked L319 D4 HSE

I have felt the same thing on the top of the door trims . I think this is related to the cold air coming out of th little vents to clear the side windows. I was hoping somebody had a fix , can't really face ringing the dealer and being asked to bring the car in and leave it with them or being told they know nothing about it and I am the first to have mentioned it !!

Hi all,

I have a June registered TDv6 and the heater works fine. If I set it to 24, it is plenty hot enough. More than 24and it gets too hot. Cold air from vents is not unusual (most cars have cold from vents, hot from floor & windscreen) it is to keep fresh air on face to prevent drowsiness.

The only time heater not effective is first thing (i.e. water not hot) and it does take diesels a lot longer to warm up.

I guess this means there IS something to fix on some?

P

Has anyone seen anything on the GTR site about an ineffective heater? L319 D4 HSE

The only mention of anything in the heating realm is this:

Title: Omission of Fuel Fired Booster Heater
Type: LS - Range Rover Sport - All Years - Service Action Bulletins
Name / Part No: AD018v2EX
Info Type: Service Bulletins
Version No: 2
Date Uploaded: 16 Nov 2005

I wonder if this is what contains info re the 2009 models getting the FBH we were meant to? I didn't think LR were meant to be accepting the solution that BN's working on yet?
