Unfortunately i’m Not in the right place to be going shopping around at the moment and renewal will be due on 27th April so will have to live with it until I get back to the UK. Hopefully i’ll Get 90% of it back when my new car arrives in May and I won’t need specific Land Rover cover. Ever since LR divested itself of the Insurance side the premiums have gone up and the cover down. I only insure with them because offroad use is part of my policy but after May I won’t need that. My Defender is insured with NFU Mutual and I can see my new car going to them too although I will also look at the big name discounters too to see what they can offer on a much lower value non offroad vehicle, it should be a lot cheaper to insure. 2020 Pangea Green 1st Edition D240 New Defender 110 is here and loving it

LR wanted to hike mine to £659 this February, after asking why they offered me £5 discount, I suggested they should 'go forth and multiply' Insured with Saga for £306 with all the options.

Interesting about Saga, I have been able to use them for almost 11 years now and consistently they have been double and in one case 3 times the cost of any other quote I have had......... I stopped asking them after 6 years of disappointment. I suspect the reason was I sent them my policy document for LRI and asked them to match the cover........... which they couldn’t do for the same price as brokers or LRI - I think the offroad use scared them off. 2020 Pangea Green 1st Edition D240 New Defender 110 is here and loving it

Saga just gave me a good quote but the excess was stupid. My renewal from Hastings was over £600 with £900 excess, ridiculous. Gone with Admiral..£346 premium with £350 total excess Steve. |
