Tips for future meets

Thanks to Kam for this idea , I had not even thought about it until he mentioned it on Sunday.

In order to ensure that any meets are not infiltrated by 'greenies' whose aim is to damage cars such as ours as some sort of protest, I suggest that venues and times are finalised via PM rather than on the open forum.

I guess we can't prevent a greenie from registering and pretending to be a user here, but we can try.

Any other ideas like this are welcome. L319 D4 HSE

No this meet went without incident and we all had a very enjoyable afternoon.

The post in the off topic section by Robin Sunpower and reading his website and the action that some of their members take against 4x4 drivers, made me think that a meet like ours may be a good opportunity for them to hit us in bulk in one afternoon, so i thought in future, we should PM about final venues and times etc, and keep it private as much as possible.

Hopefully we will have many more meets like this one and will achieve a much larger turnout next time round.

thats why our chosen spot was perfect for all..
northeners, easterners and southerners..
close to M6 and M1, so would have been ok..

Was just conveniently located 1/2 hour from our homes too!

My wife thinks I'm sad simply by contributing to this forum so getting her to travel on a Sunday to meet people I've never met before all driving similar cars would completely freek her out - I might be able to hoodwink her if a meet happened near my home but anywhere past Watford and she's smell a rat - an understanding woman is my wife! 2005 Zambezi TDV6 - Gone but not forgotten

I think my wife must have a long-lost sister! Alive and well and living in Guildford!! Laughing Laughing Laughing I don't think the wives really "get" forums like this... mine certainly doesn't... and I wonder how many female members we have (real ones that is Wink)?
