Not to start on the wrong foot, but it’s a car, suv or Range Rover. A Jeep is something else entirely. Thumbs Up

If the garage are saying that the radio is the problem disconnect it and see if the car drives fine (your satnav will stop working but it won’t effect all the other systems).

Have the battery and alternator tested, it would also be worth seeing if any error codes have been stored.

As it stands though it’s quite difficult to diagnose, these vehicles are full of electronics. It only takes one system to go on the fritz and it can cause a cascade effect, lighting your dashboard up like a Christmas tree in the process.

I think the most important thing with owning one of these vehicles is finding a garage who knows them and whom you can trust Thumbs Up

I think you need to get your computer keyboard fixed as well, as the full stop and comma key don't appear to be working.

Cheers

I don't think Col was having a dig, we all know how stressful it is when one of these things goes wrong.
what I will say is that this forum is populated by enthusiasts who want to help, but in fairness, when you look at several hundred words without a pause for breath, it does put people off from reading it thoroughly and doesn't help them understand your car's symptoms.
It sounds like the best advice given is to find a good land Rover independent who understands them as you have been given the run around by the garage you took it to. Don't take the word of the AA chap as correct either, I had home start out over the cold spell as mine wouldn't start and he told me my battery was fine. It wasn't so I put a new one in and it's started on the button since and no warning symbols (heated screen now works as well).
If you ask on here, someone may be able to recommend a good indi near you.
Good luck with your car, they are sent to try us.

Obviously I never worded my comment very well or made the point of it, which was, if there was some form of punctuation in the original post it would be far easier to read and understand, rather than one sentence containing several hundred words.

Cheers

You were right col, as oldand from Norfolk pointed out I was in a mess when putting all the faults and garbage I had just gone through. No hard feelings mate it was my fault,I should have been clear composed and precise.things are looking up now I had the chance to get my hands on my baby, armed with all the notes from otherposts similar to mine. Went through all fuses, cleaned every plug to wiring replaced radio and centre console ,hard reset connected battery, no faults coming up on dash but still won't turn over with turn of key,no radio or start up lights,so took battery off,and on chcharge whilst tomorrow, if no improvement then dealer here I come.

Thumbs Up No worries my original comment probably came across sarcastic, rather than constructive I'm sure.

Hi Dulcie,

From what i have read over the past few months, three things seem to cause spurious faults.

1) blown brake light bulb
2) faulty brake light switch
3) dead or dying battery

question.. does the ignition come on?

if so do the brake lights all come on when the pedal is pressed?and are all the bulbs the same brightness and constant light output or do they flicker on and off?
