Who needs a LR showroom

Came back from a short skiing trip yesterday. A few years ago I decided that I couldn't be bothered with all the faffing around and queueing that travel involves these days (i.e. it annoys the hell out of me and I'm getting to an age where I probably ought to try and keep my blood pressure low), so will grudgingly pay where possible to avoid it. This means booking into the valet car park when I visit Heathrow T5.

At least 50% of the cars awaiting collection were recent registration JLR vehicles (the majority FFRR and RRS) and there must have been one of every variant on display and quite a selection of the colour palette too. I should have taken a photo - it puts the dealerships to shame. RRS MY17 SDV6 AB

Suggest you engage the Valet mode if you can, ive had some poor experiences with these cowboys !

I prefer now to use short-term parking in the knowledge my car won’t be trashed when I get back from a flight

Are you sure they hadn't just broken down? Wink

I see that if believe the recent news reports you can 'invest' in an 'electronic' device like the car thieves use and you could even select one and sort out your own test drive quicker than a dealer !!!!

They drove it twice according to the app - five minutes after I dropped it off on the airport forcourt, they drove it to the short stay car park (at an average speed of 14mph), then, they day before I got back, they drove it to the Valet pickup area (at an average speed of 13mph). RRS MY17 SDV6 AB
