Refinancing at end of PCP and keeping Car

Has anyone got any good tips or suggestions at the end of the PCP when you want to keep the car. My MY16 hasn’t missed a beat and still turns heads and has only done 10K. I want to keep a warranty. The dealer said they have a target to refinance some cars but didn’t gove the greatest deal. The car seems to be worth more than the guaranteed value at least.

Any ideas? MY16 3.0 SDV6 Autobiography in Aleutian silver, stealth pack and toys.

Worth more than the GFV as a trade in, or if you were buying it used from the dealer once they've added their profit / warranty on?

The obvious way would be to get a bank loan (I'd guess at getting it over about 6 years to keep the payments similar to a 3 year PCP. Some finance houses will refinance PCPs (with another PCP). Try Oracle or Magnitude. RRS MY17 SDV6 AB

Thanks. Oracle was my first choice for getting a loan outside JLR but will look at Magnitude too. MY16 3.0 SDV6 Autobiography in Aleutian silver, stealth pack and toys.

So you paid the initial deposit, and the three year pcp payments, and now take out a loan to pay the lump sum to keep the car.

Out of curiosity, would you have been better off taking out a loan three years ago and buying the car in the first place??

I know there are lots of scenarios that can occur in three years and walking away from the car after the pcp finished might well have been one of them.. 5.0 Ltr Superchrged RRS2, Chile Red, Sideways out of junctions!
TDV8 HST Stornaway on a 08.. remapped.. now gone and replaced, was a mighty fine car..
4.2 SC First Edition when they first came out, quick car!

Interest rates on loans are cheap up to about 25k, but often much higher above that. It may work out better to get a PCP to begin with and then a cheap loan later on. RRS MY17 SDV6 AB

Yep. I can get 3.1% on 25k but 7.3% on s was our first ever RRS so we weren’t sure and the pcp lets you get a better car to try for your money and then you end up here!

Ours has been fab and seems the best deal is to keep it for £40k especially as only done 10k miles and the service pack has another 2 years to run. The dealer is offering to re pcp it but rates poor so far. Got a few months so I am going to haggle with them too as well as looking at loans. MY16 3.0 SDV6 Autobiography in Aleutian silver, stealth pack and toys.
