Is the radiator fan constantly running?. Usually that is the cause of low temperature and slow warm-up. MY12 RRS HSE

If it’s any help, and for comparison, in the current weather my temperature gauge needle moves off it’s rest at about 2 miles and is up to normal temperature by about 4 miles.

Sounds very much like a stuck (open) thermostat. MY2016 HSE D SDV6 - gone due to fuel dilution problems.

So this morning it took 15 mins and about 4 miles for the gauge to rise to halfway between cold and normal so ordered a new thermostat ready to fit |

My 2010 TDV8 has always (since new) been very slow to warm up according to the dash gauge (even in summer). Often it will take 5-10km before the gauge is at the normal operating temperature and this is with the airconditioning on and in heavy stop start traffic. |
