Say I was driving down the Autobahn at 90mph, the road is flat, not windy & its clear. I want to stretch the legs a bit, so put my foot down. Car gets to 100mph but really struggles to get any faster. Previous Autobhan drives have seen me max at 120mph but not now. Just feels as if the top-end oomph has gone away.

Added to that was

Engine TDV6

P2290-00 (28 ) Injector control pressure too low

That popped up at 80mph on cruise control.

Previous advice was to change Fuel Filter, which I've had done recently and then its likely to be high or low pressure pump. Based on the lack of oomph, is that pointing to one or either in particular?

One of your fuel injectors may be worn Or blocked.
When this happens the injector back leaks pressure into the fuel return line .
This means the high pressure fuel pump has to work harder to maintain the correct pressure. It may be you have one or more injector in this state meaning the pump can longer maintain the desired pressure causing your lack of power and pressure control low fault.

I`d be too scared to do 120mph in one of these....feels too fast at 70mph  Steve.

Steve why have a supercharged if you never watch the fuel gauge going down as quick as your driving it

After other cars I`ve had, it feels too heavy and wallowy (sp) Plus...obviously I`ve never been on the Autobahn  Steve.

i too have had fast fords and scoobys but as you say it is a different beast but you do get used to it a bit

Hey, its 12 years old, have the shock absorbers been replaced?
