Check first if any previous owner has taken out the 5 years service agreement - you might have a “free” main dealer service still to come as the agreement transfers with owners. Also find a new indie as an L494 is nothing like a D4 underneath........ no ladder frame chassis for a start! Only the engine and suspension are common and even then the L494’s suspension compressor is in the spare wheel well not slung underneath 2020 Pangea Green 1st Edition D240 New Defender 110 is here and loving it

When I purchased my14 SC from Hatfields their was no mention of service plan,,then I got to find out previous owner through facebook who informed me their was 2 years service plan left with LR (he was dealing with Hunters York) When I contacted Hunters they told me the next 2 services are free of charge,,then I contacted Hatfields again informing them about it & the salesman told me their admin should have looked into that (which they didn't) If they had know about it the price would have been £1000 more,,so I dropped on their really.

When I had my14 SDV6 3.0 I got LR down to about £290 for a service,,call a few dealerships & play them aginst each other,,that what I did,,infact I played Hatfields Pickering against Hatfields in Hull, they started off around the £450 mark.

Apologies for hijacking this thread, but does anyone know how to reset the service indicator on a 2014 L494? Can it be done on the car alone, or does it require a diagnostic tool?
