Surely it's not the most obvious cause - front sensor obscured by a layer of snow/dirt?

Thanks for the update and your thoughts... there isn’t anything blocking the ACC, must be a wiring issue. Would a diagnostic pick this up?

It depends on the diagnostic being used. For faults like this it is necessary to use a reader that picks up Land Rover specific codes and not just generic OBD2 codes.
