Another Ctek thread :)

Well.....strangely...after buying a 12v plug in adapter for my CTEK...my rear socket which seemed to be permanent live the other week, apparently isn`t Rolling Eyes

Not to be beaten....I "made" a route from the battery to the boot Laughing

Comfort connector from battery to door and inside the Sport

Then the extension fitted and run through the inside to boot

Then charger plugged into 240v extension and into the garage.....where there`s a will there`s a way Laughing Bit of a palava but it`ll only be done once in a while Thumbs Up

NOTE TO SELF.....UNPLUG BEFORE DRIVING OFF Mr. Green Steve.

there is a mod to make the rear power sockets always live.

You remove a relay behind the glovebox and insert a loop of wire with 2 spade terminals

assuming you have the ctek cigar lighter adaptor

On my L494 I found that I didn’t need to have the lead outside the body when I fitted my solar trickle charger, the cable can pass behind the door through the seal and under the bonnet seals and stays protected and out of sight. The leads then attach by crocdile clips supplied by the Chinese with the £11 panel, to the + and - posts used for jump starting the L494 where the battery is in the boot, behind a powered tailgate that won’t open when the battery is dead....... like the powered glove box won’t open either so you cannot get at the owner’s manual to see how to connect jump leads to the car.....
