Weird situation, the guy needed to finance the vehicle himself but the rates he was being quoted were all sky high, in the end it just became too expensive for him. Is it not possible to get competitive quotes for this type of scenario? Never sold a car privately before (always traded them in) so i’m not really up to speed on raising (personal) finance to buy a car.

The interest rate he can secure would be linked to how creditworthy the lenders see him. He should easily be able to secure sub 7% ish, I suspect he wasn't overly creditworthy or he was optimistic on th rate he could get. 2017my RRS 2.0 SD4 HSE, Firenze red, black and panaroof

Thanks. Any ideas who he could speak to? The other issue was that the people he was speaking to told him that they would have to buy my car first for them to be able to lend against it and in the process charge a £1000+vat admin fee (which would have also put another owner on the log book). It all seems so much harder than it should be! The guy is sound as well btw.

Why doesn’t he apply for a bank loan,,they are usually better rates than finance companies.
